Thirteen months of parameters, one acceptance day: an Indian customer completes factory acceptance of a pouch-cell lab line
Headline: Thirteen months of parameters, one acceptance day: an Indian customer completes factory acceptance of a pouch-cell lab line
October 2026 — A customer from India completed factory acceptance of a pouch-cell laboratory line at GELON. The line covers mixing, coating, calendering, slitting and stacking, delivered complete except for the glove box; the customer will build a dry room in its own facility to pair with the equipment.
The project began with a set of dimensions: L150 × W120 × T2–12 mm. That format range — from thin to comparatively thick pouch cells — defined the process window for every machine downstream. Between mid-2025 and mid-2026, both sides reviewed parameters machine by machine: coating speed, drying temperature, die-cut dimensions, welding geometry, tab position and dozens of others, followed by several rounds of quotation and revision.
"The easiest mistake in a lab line is treating parameters as numbers on a quotation," said 【Name, Title】. "Speed, temperature, die-cut and welding dimensions each decide whether the line will produce data you can trust. We would rather spend the time upfront."
The relationship did not start with equipment. The customer has worked with GELON since 2024, initially on materials. As its understanding of cell processing deepened, the scope moved from materials to machines and then to a complete line. The two companies are now discussing representation for the Indian market.
Alongside the pouch line, the customer configured coin-cell equipment in the 2032 format. That portion was integrated by GELON, combining the customer's budget with existing supplier resources.
GELON supplies materials, equipment and turnkey lines for battery laboratories and pilot production worldwide, covering coin, pouch, cylindrical and prismatic formats.
